Manufacturing Process Engineer
We are assisting our Southern ME manufacturing client in their search for a Manufacturing Process Engineer.
Primary Responsibilites
- Analyze current processes and cost justify recommended changes, including capital equipment
- Develop and document effective processes for new products
- Provide project management and cross-functional team leadership to implement changes
- Track results of changes
- Own and provide day to day support in the manufacturing departments on all matters that effect quality and on-time delivery
- Develop and maintain labor routings
- Develop and coordinate tooling for sheet metal fabrication
- Tube bending
Qualifications/Skills
- BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or 5+ years related discipline
- Experience with welding, both robotically and semiautomatic mig.
- Experience wtih stamping presses and related tooling.
- Experience with sheet metal punching, notching, and bending
- Work analysis and cost/benefit analysis
- Automation, such as with PLC's proxy's sensing
- Strong project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong bias towards continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of ACAD, MS Project, Excel, MS Word, Oracle or equivalent
